What do you guys think of all of these?
MUSE - Having a hard time getting into this so far, but haven't given it enough listens. A little too "Queen".
BRAND NEW - Um, nothing's catching me about this one yet. Devil was kick ass right out of the box, didn't have to grow on me at all. This one's going to take some time.
THRICE - Good stuff. Not quite as edgy as some of their other stuff, and definitely a buzzkill after the awesomeness that was The Alchemy Index, but still a great record.
AS TALL AS LIONS - Very, very good. Definitely embraced their inner-hippie, but it's good stuff. Not as good as the self-titled yet, without the crazy pop hooks, but still a great album.
MUTE MATH - Not sure I like the new direction, a bit too dancey for me, but it's solid. A good listen. Kind of reminds me of when Maroon 5 had their first record, which ruled, but then fame kind of got to them.
THIRD EYE BLIND - Though it doesn't make me want to stop listening to it, it doesn't make me want to keep listening to it either. Not great, not awful. Just an unremarkable collection of songs.
MONEEN - Anyone heard this yet? It's cool, typical Moneen with weird arrangements and such. Good album, but I don't have enough spins to accurately give my opinion.
I can't get myself to give Dear Hunter's Act III too many spins. It's kind of boring. I need to burn it to CD and go give it a chance. I'm also hooked on the not-so-brand-spankin-new discs from Miniature Tigers, Ace Enders, and The Classic Crime.
