As you may or may not know, Flatlander is a band project thingy out of Howell... You also may know that the amazing Scott Nelsen has been gracious enough over the past year to spend some of his time, effort, and gas money to be a part of it. I know that you must know that Tiger Tiger is playing about 1.7x10^24 shows per month, so in the long term it is likely that we will lose poor Scott's contribution sadly (hopefully not)... but then again hopefully Tiger Tiger becomes incredibly huge and makes it's first of many multi-platinum recordings at D-Prods studio. Anyway, the "band" Flatlander could perhaps be open to interested bassists that realize that we probably will never tour, that we only rehearse a couple times a month, and enjoy the process of song writing and recording. We do this stuff mainly at D-Prods studio, or Vital Sound studio, so I guess I'm saying that -as a bassist, if you have any interest in this -give us a shout. I don't know how you'd categorize the stuff we've been doing, but I guess it's pop rock or prock, modern jizz, ear shizzle, or something like that. Here is a link to one of our early track demos. The finished track should be on the upcoming Roots comp... www.d-prods.com/SampleRecordings/CrazedEyes.mp3Thanks- Daren

Haha. That sounds terrible! Was this recorded before I was in the band?

I'm joking, of course. I'm always joking. Perhaps any prospective bassists should understand that we are serious about our humor.
(to prospective bassists): You should also understand that we put a lot of thought into our sonic character, and song construction.
We don't have big attitudes or egos, but we like to pretend that we're really awesome, and we do harass each other for sport. It's a good time.

Bo, give me your best Kool Keith lines. Here's mine:
-I'll take you to White Castle asshole
-Girls, you want a man that's rich. You want a man to say, "C'mere Bzitch"
-You think you're all that there a turkey sandwich on top of the refrigerator. C'mon, girl. Don't roll your eyes at me like an alligator.
-Macks trucks. Big wheels roll!

We are now looking for someone to answer the 1,035 emails I've received for the bass player position, since there is such a huge interest in joining our band. haha.

It's a good thing we are "working hard" to answer each of the 1,035 inquiries for the bass position.
Better yet, it would be cool if we just had 1,035 bass players.
Think of how awesome that would sound, and then we would have that unique quality that Rich Ensley requires to give us high marks upon the next judging.
Nate might need to buy a couple more AC splitters for us to play at the PAC though.
