Well, I finally got my own camera and plan to start shooting a bunch. I wanted to start this topic because I know there are a few other photographers on here and would like to share opinions. This is my favorite from last night. Thanks Ron for letting me borrow your fisheye. Please put some of yours up and let me know what you think of mine!

Oh Cal. It was really funny, I looked back and you were throwing down and then like a song later you were up front with your camera. Can't wait to see some of your stuff man!

Hellz yeah it does.
I have a question. I'm no photographer, but I dabble in photoshop. What kind of effects do you guys put on your pictures? I just learned how to use gradient maps, they create that faded look that I see sometimes, but I wanna know what else you guys do, if you don't mind sharing your secrets.

anything and everything! I've been using photoshop cs2 for a few years. I have cs3 but I don't bother with it because I would hate to re-learn everything. When I first started out I just watched tons of online tutorials. Other than that my only advice is to use a lot of layers. But keep in mind sometimes simpler is better.

I didn't know you did that kind of stuff Aaron. You should post some of your stuff.

Well, I've learned most of the things I do through Rike. We use Adobe Lightroom to edit. If you shoot in RAW format, it's way easier to edit. I do a lot of photo retouching in Photoshop CS3 and do pretty much all of my shirt designs in AI CS3. Here's an example of my photoshopping... Photoshopped, Unedited, I did a few color filters, some levels and a vignette effect around the edge. Oh yeah, and I put in an extra cab and got rid of the headstock on my bass.
