Oh man, so this show. THIS show. Totally ruled. I guess I will give a quick run down.
This was at Ryan from Punks Before Profits house, in his garage. A fun daytime show. And being at Ryan's house, there was a badass vegan potluck beforehand. Super good eats.
The Oily Menace (my band) played first. Being our second show, it went really well. I think we played about 11 songs or so in 15 minutes. Everything went over well, people were into it, lots of hugs afterward. I thrashed harder then last time, and it was quite fun.
Xtra Vomit played next, and it was totally awesome. They always impress me. Sock is so passionate about the music they are playing and they have great things to say. And Brandon Hill is a hammer on the drums. With him singing now its really good. Great different voices involved. One thing they said inbetween songs was about how "if you have anything you stand for, make sure you know why you stand for it, vegan or whatever, make sure you have facts and can back up your talk". Well said.
Then Sin Orden played. This band is all latino from Chicago, and sing everything in Spanish, and rip harder then almost any band out there. They must have gone through 15 songs in 20 min or so. Barely any breaks. Just straight up rippin latino hardcore. The best. Seriously, everyone should check them out. I think they have a myspace or something. Band kills it.
After the show, we hit up Stellas with Sin Orden for some good vegan cuisine. My band mates and Ryan got drunk and screamed slayer sing along in my car on the way home, and then there was some car mosh to youth of today. All in all a good night.
