Listened to the first song, thought it was cheesy and terrible, haven't listened to the rest.

The rest is cheesy and terrible.
I miss old Minus The Bear, when their guitarist would play solos using only his four Line6 DL4s. Sigh.

I enjoy it! There are a couple of tracks that throw off the album entirely. But they are old men now, at their show all of them sport wedding bands. The are happy and cheesy nerds who made it big. Their live show was worth it, they have a perfect cross blend between their alternative new material and their math fueled rock.
Check out the track The Thief, that is far from a disappointing.

I love this album, it still has the signature MtB sound but has evolved a bit. I agree with Hunter, their live show is awesome. Great musicians.

Yeah, I think it's awesome as well. It's toned down from the days of Highly Refined Pirates and other early releases, which can be a bit. . . eh. But, I really do love the simplicity they've brought to it. Minus the Bear has such a distinctive sound to me, and I feel like this held true to it better than Planet of Ice. I'm a fan of it. It's still not their old stuff, but if it was, I'd be even more disappointed.
Oh, and the songs are sexy. That's always a selling point for me.

I like this album more. The old MtB stuff got boring to me.
