Stephen Schlaack- Had a really solid set, i enjoyed having an acoustic artist open up the night. Elliot Street Lunatic- Felt like we played a good set. Audrey- I love watching these guys play, they are one of my favorite bands to play with. The new drummer sounded really good and their live show keeps getting better and better Empty Orchestra- I missed them Apathetic Critic- These guys were really good, it was my first time seeing them and they put on a great show. I hope to play with them again. Good Weather- These guys owned the night, It was the best show i have ever seen them put on and you could tell that they were having a great time. I forgot to grab a cd so i am a little bummed that i am not listening to it right now. Congrats on a successful release show!

Stephen - Nice work. He's got a good voice, and he'll grow as a performer. I didn't have a chance to catch much of his set, but he got a good response. ESL - Probably the best sounding band of the night. I'll be honest guys, I didn't know if Livingston County would dig your sound. But they did! You guys did great, we'll do it again sometime! Audrey - Best set I've seen from them. Shame that John's leaving, but it's for the best EO - I love this band. Brandon is the perfect drummer for them. I love watching him play drums, he's so happy. A little loud for the Opera House, but just so damn tight. AC - Too loud! Good set, Wes has definitely gotten comfortable playing bass. New songs are awesome. Loved that they closed with an oldie. Guys, you gotta turn down just a bit, or your cool vocal work gets drowned out. GWFA - Best set I've seen from them. They worked so hard for this, and I'm so proud of them, and happy that they had such a great party for their CD release.

I thought Stephen sounded really good, he did a really great job.
Elliot Street sounded great, I completely agree with Nate. The Opera House is the perfect venue for their sound.
Audrey was great as always. Love these guys so much, and it's always a pleasure to be able to play with them.
Empty Orchestra - Great to see them play again. It had been about a year since I've seen them, and they're just as great as I remember. Amazing job.
Apathetic Critic - I thought they destroyed tonight. People ate them up, and Avery just owned on guitar, as always. Great set from these guys. Sound wasn't perfect, but it was amazing.
Thanks so so much to everyone who came out. We had a blast playing, and hope you guys love the album.

Stephen - He will get so much better the more he plays in front of people, I can just tell.
ESL - First time I had the chance to watch. Phenomenal. I loved their set.
Audrey - Missed it because I had to take my Audrey home. WEIRD!
Empty Orchestra - Always solid. Kinda started to get a headache, so I couldn't enjoy them as much.
Apathetic Critic - Love.
GWFA - Best set by far from them ever. They need to play with that much love every time they get on stage.
This show ruled. My headache did not.

Stephen Schlaack - It's really tough being a solo acoustic performance with so many people, being that never will 100% of the people be silent and just listen to the music and it can be a downer when it gets out of hand. That said, I was very impressed. Guitar work seemed solid, but the vocals were a tad hard to hear. Beyond the general chatter of the audience, I think the mics weren't doing him justice. Still great though.
Elliot Street Lunatic - Our BFF's in the music biz. These guys are so fun to watch play and every time I see them, I'm overcome with joy. I love these guys and the music they play so much. It meant a lot they could come out to support us.
Audrey - SO MUCH ENERGY!! Watching these guys play music is like a visual equivalent to downing an entire 2 litre (brit-friendly) bottle of Vault. Drinks like a soda, kicks like Audrey.
Empty Orchestra - No band in the history of the world has the spot-on perfection of a live performance like these guys. Every time I see them, they never miss a damn beat. It's inhuman. So much fun to watch these guys.
Apathetic Critic - Full of energy, full of talent. Watching these guys are like a treat. Straight up rock music. Great fun to sing a long to, great fun to dance to (though most Livingston County kids are too cool to dance in public) and it's just a wonderful experience watching a huge crowd of people living it up in unison. I really love these guys and this show was no exception.

Words can not describe how much it means to me, and the rest of the band, that everyone came to the show, had a great time, and supported us in the process. We put our heart and soul out there and it's really paying off just to see so many people, friends and strangers alike, coming together for a couple hours to just live it up, forget the world, and fucking party. The band means a lot to me, but without every smiling head rocking in the background, it wouldn't mean anything. Thank you guys, every single one of you, so much.

I'm still completely stunned by last night. I felt that it was definitely one of "those shows" we all talk about on here.
Stephen Schlaack - First I've heard of his acoustic stuff. It's like Bill said - it's hard for a solo acoustic act to keep the crowd 100% occupied, and it definitely takes away from the effect when there are people chatting and whatnot. With that said, these tunes were really well-written and well-performed. Can't wait to hear more.
Elliot Street Lunatic - GWFA + ESL = BFF for lyfe. Nate, I agree - best sounding band of the night. I was really curious to see if Livingston County would dig their sound as much as I do and I'm so happy that they did. I love playing with these dudes and I'm stoked that we have more shows together coming up.
Audrey - I will never watch this band without a smile on my face. Ever. They love doing what they do and it absolutely shows. I feel like the audience is somehow infected by the sheer enthusiasm. Sounded fantastic. Sad to see John go, but excited for the what happens next.
Empty Orchestra - Absolutely flawless every time. Flawless tunes, flawless execution, flawless tone, flawless everything. Long story short: I like these guys.
Apathetic Critic - I feel like one way to gauge a band's tightness is to see them on a rough night. Things like broken strings, feedback issues, volume issues just happen and a truly talented band can power through and still have a good show. As fortune would have it, Apathetic Critic is a truly talented band. We're extremely lucky to have them around and I'm always proud to share the stage with them.
I think it's kind of silly for me to try and type out all the different emotions I had about last night overall. I can't do it without sounding either sappy or inarticulate. Thank you guys so much for pouring back every bit as much passion as we put into our music. I'm so proud of our music scene, and it makes me feel downright giddy to see this much support directed towards any local band, let alone a silly little post-rock band like us.

Thanks for the kind words. We had fun. I was very impressed by Empty Orchestra's set; they were my favorite band of the night, and my favorite local in recent memory. I feel like I see very few alt country bands in the local scene, but they tend to be awesome most of the time. Audrey and GWFA were great as always. I'd like to see more acoustic openers at shows like this. Short 15-20 minute sets that make a quick change over to the next band. This was my first apathetic critic experience, and while I enjoyed some songs (one in particular that seemed to have a big sing-a-long 'whoa-oh' sort of part), they were a bit screamy for me. Nice guys though, and I would go again.
Good Weather: congratulations on a successful release. I listened to Yearning on my way in this morning and it sounded good on my crappy little tweeters in my car. I'll be giving it some time on my headphones today to hear a lot more detail/bass than my car could provide.
