If you can't laugh at the opening 10 minutes to last night's episode, you are humorless. I mean, say it's not intelligent comedy, that it's detrimental to society, blah blah blah, but I laughed my ass off.

anyone see the episode with the Disney universe? i loved how surreal it was, and how incredibly spot-on they got the parody. also a fan of the Robot Chicken universe and the jokes at seth green's expense.

I think the "Disney Universe" episode is the best. When they show real life Stewie and Brian I cracked up.

"Hi, my name is Seth McFarlane, creator of Family Guy. I steal almost all of my ideas from the Simpsons and then dumb the humor down ten-fold so that the majority of America can understand it." I like Family Guy because it's 'my' personal humor. I don't think any comedy should be filled with stuff to make me smarter or a better person or to benefit me in any way. I like it because it's something to take my mind off of everyday life. Family Guy is an acquired taste, for damn sure. So to all of you nay-sayers out there, go suck one, and post some TV show you like on this forum, rather than bashing on my shit. Good Day. What are you talking about? This is a Family Guy thread, not a thread only for those who like it. Nobody is unintelligently critiquing it. The Simpsons doesn't better your life in any way, but it's original humor. Nothing about Family Guy's humor is original. King of the Hill doesn't make your life better, but it has original humor. Same goes for Beavis and Butthead, Futurama, Squidbillies, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Mission Hill, and even Cowboy Bebop for Christ's sake. The fact of the matter is, to me at least, that shows like Family Guy, American Dad, Cleveland show (all McFarlane, all the same damn thing) are turning Americans into simple-minded Kremlins that can't have an attention span for longer than 10-seconds. I can't lay all the blame for that on McFarlane though. Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer are also destroying the psyche with their loud, explosion-filled, plot-less movies. And then there are musicians like Nickelback and Hinder and 3 Doors Down From Creed's Grace and so on. And then there are the comedians like Dane Cook and Carlos Mencia. And then there are writers like Stephanie Meyer with her Twilight series. Okay, this is all hurting my brain. I'm done.
