Acoustic stage in the auditorium? Or maybe even opening the auditorium up as Stage A and add Stage F, allowing for even more bands.

I disliked not being allowed to bring in my cup of water, especially considering I need water to live You should have been allowed to bring water in... MONSTERS - Kinda cool, crowd went crazy. THE SWELLERS - This was my 4th time being at a show with them and my first time getting to watch them play. Freaking awesome. THE BLED - Crazy good, love this band. STRIKE ANYWHERE - Biggest let down of the day, I guess my expectations were way too high. POLAR BEAR CLUB - These guys had the best set of the day. So so good. SO SAVE ME - Flawless. TRASH TALK - I do not get the hype about these guys. They sound like every other hardcore band to me. Maybe if they got another guitar player? All I saw, but everything about this year's BLED Fest was way better than the last.

I only saw one set, and that was Audrey. I would have liked to see GWFA and T!T!, but I didn't expect to anyway.
I like James' idea for an acoustic stage. The auditorium seems like too good an area not to use, although it does seem difficult to use it to it's full potential in a festival setting.
I'm not trying to just bitch and moan here, but bag searching is a shitty trade. I don't think there was a single male attendent who protested to having his bag searched, but you'd think I was asking the girls to take off their tops.
It seemed like a great experience overall though, for Fusion, the bands and the fans. Well done.

Bag-searching sucks, but it necessary. Haha.
And I have to come to the defense of Wilson. Did Ender play "Unbroken Line" last? Because if so, that song is obviously acoustic and very quiet, and Jerad (sound guy on C) gave them the thumbs up to start playing. They didn't know that Ender was still playing, and the singer feels horrible about it. Whether or not you like their music, those dudes are really, really nice, hard-working dudes, and I don't want to see them torn apart for something that's not their fault.
It was an honest mistake, and if Jerad and Ben (C/D stage manager) had been paying closer attention, they would have known that.

I didn't catch many bands. I really wanted to see Act As One, but some stupid band with a creepy bearded guitarist had me trapped at stage C while they were playing. I spent a lot of time at said bands merch table after that. I caught some of Brothers set, but I couldn't find a place that wasn't behind a pole, so I didn't really see much. They're good, though. They did their thing. Caught some of YBF who seemed totally off. Probably the worst I've ever heard them. I was able to hear the AC cover of White Stripes, but nothing beyond that. Caught Ender. They always leave me satisfied and it was cool to hear "Ladybugs" though I wish they'd played some of their "weird newer stuff." Caught the first thirty seconds of Tiger! Tiger! and then had to go stand outside and search bags. This is extremely awkward for me considering I'm a VERY non-confrontational person by nature. Like CJ said, most guys are totally cool about it and most girls act like you're a total dick for it. And like Nate said. . . it's necessary. I get it. Just the most awkward part of the day for me.
I was lucky enough to catch one song by Castevet, and I was as blown away as I'd thought I'd be. I love their sound. I could at least hear GWFA, and I like the new song. It always impresses me when a group of people start a band, find a sound, and then are just able to stick with it and refine it. I'm jealous of bands who have that ability. It's awesome. GWFA is a great example of that. I also heard the first 2 1/2 songs of This Town Needs Guns (which made me a tiny bit sad, as they were the only band of the day I was genuinely excited to see). They were good, but they're one of those bands who mostly just sounds good. I don't feel like their live performance is much to look at. I've seen them perform on TV before, and I thought "maybe it's just because it's TV" but their performance at Bled Fest made me realize that wasn't it. Still amazing to see, and they still sound better than a lot of bands. I just like energetic and/or charismatic live shows, I guess.
I wish I would've caught a lot more bands. That seems inevitable at an event like Bled Fest, though. It's part of it, and I'm okay with it. I just STILL haven't seen The Swellers since. . . I'm not even sure. Years, I think. Before they were touring and what not, at least.
Set lengths were good. Bled Fest seems like sort of a buffet of music to me. It gives you a chance to have a taste of some of your favorites and some stuff that you have never given a chance before, and if you don't like it, you have other options. If none of that suits your taste, you can always just go eat some pizza.
An acoustic stage would be cooooool. Maybe to make up for it's absence there should be another nature center show? Mer?
