2. My favorite band ever is Gatsbys American Dream. I also enjoy the bands Copeland and This Will Destroy You quite a bit. I've been listening to a lot of Weatherbox and Kay Kay and his Weathered Underground lately.
3. I originally started this forum in 2007 and it's been a weird journey ever since. I'm trying to resurrect it from the dead. I also play in the band Tiger! Tiger! and am avid about the local Michigan scene. Let's talk and be friends and (re)build this community.

1. Josh Talo 2. My favorite band is blink-182. I like We Are The Union and The Swellers a lot. I also love The Beatles, The Riot Before, Good Luck, Motion City Soundtrack, Bomb the Music Industry!, Empty Orchestra, Descendents and The Beach Boys. I like punk bands that play music that doesn't sound like normal punk rock. 3. I went to my first local show on October 22nd, 2007 and saw Downtown Brown, The Swellers, Only Crime and A Wilhelm Scream. I went to shows on a weekly basis after that. I live in Lansing, but I'm from Fowlerville. I'm currently a MSU student, but I don't think I will be come fall. I play in A Big Crash and write silly songs that don't leave my bedroom.

2. I'm a total snob in the sense that I can justify just about everything I enjoy. I love The Decendents, Bad Religion, Steely Dan, The Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie, Kanye West, Robert Johnson, The Smiths, Brand New, Minus the Bear. Local music. I'm way more into my friends' bands than they realize (including the sweeties on this forum). Fuck. Too many. I really love music. I also love literature. And James Radick.
3. I play guitar, keyboard, and do some vocals in the Michigan band Audrey. I spend more money driving to shows than most people I know. I live in Muskegon. And sometimes Kalamazoo. I will drive to Saginaw to see your band, and then to Lansing the next day to see your friends' band, and I will not sleep so that I can talk to people until five in the morning about how good music is. I don't have a job, so I sell my things to keep drowning myself in music. I've been in the music scene for almost a decade now. I've worked for independent record labels, released albums, recorded albums, done promotion, and. . . other stuff. So much. I'm a student at Western Michigan University where I'm double majoring in English and Comparative Religions with a minor in Political Science. I own too many books and movies. I really love travel and people. I'm a nice guy, but you probably wouldn't know it if you met me.

2. I'm only gonna list the absolute top of the crop here: Radiohead, Beatles, Arcade Fire, Sufjan, Dylan, The White Stripes, Elliott Smith, Jeff Buckley, Wilco.
3. I play guitar and sing in Roll Over Radio, and play drums in Elliot Street Lunatic. I've got a pair of nearly identical music-related associates degrees from LCC, and have to find a new job this fall, which scares me. Also, I almost listed Bright Eyes, TV on the Radio, and Sigur Ros for number 2, and if it were 3 years ago, I would have only listed Dave Matthews Band.
